During our stay in Thailand, we stayed at the Bayview Phi Phi resort. I don’t have words for how amazing this hotel was! I felt so happy the minute we got there. The staff welcomed us so nicely and was very accommodating. Just being at this resort made me feel like I was in a dream mainly because the beach is so incredible. The atmosphere in the resort is very laid back and there is not one spot that you don’t have the most breath-taking views! We looked around at other hotels on the island and nothing really compared. Even just for one night, you need to check this place out. Here is the resort through my eyes…
BEACH
The hotel is situated directly on the beach. The beach is actually paradise with stunning views of Maya Bay. The beach is in a cove in the horseshoe part of the island. From our beach, you can walk 10 minutes to the busy restaurants, bars and stores or take a water taxi for 3$ a person into the port area. The chairs are comfortable to tan on all day and the water is really warm and shallow. The beach is more secluded and quiet which I liked. The sun is really strong here in Thailand but the employees always walked around asking if you needed an umbrella or needed your lounge chair re-adjusted which was nice.
FOOD
The breakfast buffet was great with lots of options, fresh juice and a good egg station. The breakfast is situated on the rooftop of the main restaurant and has nice views of the water surrounded by exotic trees.
There is a restaurant on the beach that served really good seafood options for lunch and dinner. You can get any type of drink you want from this restaurant and bring it onto the beach with you.
ROOMS
I wasn’t expecting much since we were on a little island but I was surprised to find the room to be perfect. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Every room is a mini villa that you get to by walking up the hill or taking the hotel’s golf carts. Every villa has a great view of the bay and a nice porch with lounge chairs.
AMENITIES
There is a pool at the top of the hill but it was always empty since the beach was out-of-this-world gorgeous and the ocean was probably warmer than the pool. Next to the pool is really cheap massages that the hotel offers. If you go to the other side of the hill, you will walk onto Long Beach which is pretty but I still thought the hotel’s beach was the best. There is a free water taxi service from the port to the hotel when you check-in and check-out which was convenient. The hotel will help you book any excursions and help you with dining options. Everyday, the villa was cleaned perfectly and free water bottles were restocked in the mini fridge. We took a 15 minute boat ride to Maya Bay for a day trip and the hotel can help you set this up.. highly recommended!
